Université PSL (Paris Sciences et Lettres), also referred to as PSL Research University, is a public collegiate research university based in Paris, France. It unites a group of long-established Parisian institutions under a single university structure spanning the sciences, engineering, the humanities, social sciences and the arts. Its member and affiliated bodies include some of the country's most historic schools and research centres, among them the Collège de France, whose origins reach back to 1530. Within the French higher education system, PSL holds the status of a "grand établissement," a distinct category of institution.

The university grew out of a partnership first formed in 2010, when several institutions in central Paris began coordinating their teaching and research under a shared banner. It was later reorganised and formally established as a university, consolidating its members into a more integrated collegiate model. Rather than operating from a single campus, PSL functions as a federation of component schools and laboratories distributed across central Paris, notably around the Latin Quarter. This arrangement lets the constituent institutions keep their own identities while collaborating on shared degree programmes, doctoral training and cross-disciplinary research.

PSL delivers education at undergraduate, master's and doctoral levels, with a strong emphasis on research-led teaching and small, selective programmes. It enrols on the order of 17,000 students and is supported by roughly 2,900 teaching and research staff. Its academic community spans a broad range of fields, from mathematics, physics and the life sciences to economics, law, philosophy and the performing and visual arts. The university is known primarily for its research activity and for the historic standing of its member schools, and it maintains extensive international partnerships and exchange opportunities.
