South Westphalia University of Applied Sciences (German: Fachhochschule Südwestfalen, often abbreviated FH-SWF) is a public university of applied sciences in the South Westphalia region of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Its administrative headquarters are in Iserlohn, and the institution operates as a multi-campus university spread across several sites in the region: Iserlohn, Hagen, Meschede and Soest, together with a branch location in Lüdenscheid. This distributed structure makes it one of the larger applied sciences institutions in North Rhine-Westphalia and gives it a strong regional presence in the surrounding communities.

The university in its present form was established on 1 January 2002, when the Märkische Fachhochschule, based in Iserlohn with a site in Hagen, was merged with the Meschede and Soest departments of the former comprehensive university (Gesamthochschule) at Paderborn. The institution's educational lineage, however, reaches considerably further back, with predecessor trade and engineering schools in the region tracing their origins to the early nineteenth century. Over the following decades these schools evolved into technical colleges before being consolidated into the modern university of applied sciences.

South Westphalia University of Applied Sciences focuses on practically oriented, career-relevant education, offering a broad portfolio of bachelor's and master's degree programmes in fields such as engineering, computer science and information technology, business and economics, natural sciences, and agricultural sciences. As of the 2025/26 winter semester it enrolled roughly 10,300 students, of whom about 36 percent were women, supported by a staff of several hundred employees including around 165 professors. The university emphasises small teaching groups and close support for students, reflecting the applied and regionally engaged character typical of German Fachhochschulen.
